JAL Ends Deployment of Boeing 777-300ER Aircraft on Tokyo/Haneda-London Route
JAL Operates Aircraft Featuring ‘Refresh’ Mark
Japan Airlines (JAL), the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), and Orwell have been conducting flight demonstration experiments with aircraft that have a large area of riblet-shaped coatings applied to their external panels.
Utilizing Orwell’s “coating formation technology,” riblet technology was applied to JAL’s Boeing 737-800 aircraft (registration number: JA331J). The plane now displays the ‘Refresh (RiblEt Flight RESearcH for carbon neutral)’ mark on both sides.
