APA Hotel revealed to the press on November 25th the “APA Hotel & Resort ” which will open on December 2nd.
The building is a 40-story skyscraper, the largest of its kind in Western Japan, offering a total of 2,055 rooms in 9 different categories including standard rooms, superior rooms, and suites.
The hotel features 198 pairs of connecting rooms, which can be used by up to four guests each, the highest number of such rooms in any APA Hotel, catering to the accommodation needs of groups and families.
Selected rooms, including suites, come with a fridge and freezer. All rooms are equipped with pitchers, and guests can use water dispensers located on each floor. The air conditioning control panels support nine languages, and rooms are outfitted with USB-C ports. This is the first APA Hotel to launch a laundry service in collaboration with Duskin, including a clothing compression machine in the laundry room.
The hotel houses an outdoor observatory pool ‘Mondamin Pool’ and a terrace on the top floor in collaboration with Earth Corporation, as well as a large communal bath with sauna, two restaurants, a cafe, a bar, a fitness gym, a Seven-Eleven convenience store, an esthetic salon, and a merchandise store.
The terrace is open free of charge all year round, while the observation pool operates seasonally during the summer. Access to the observation pool and fitness gym is paid, and entry is via a QR code purchase, followed by entering a passcode issued.
The dining facilities include “DINING UOMAN” on the top floor, “Bar&Restaurant 17Club” on the second floor, and “BACCANO” cafe & bar on the first floor. Breakfast is served on the first and fortieth floors. The second-floor restaurant offers brunch and dinner with a focus on locally sourced ingredients, featuring make-your-own ‘takosen’ and ‘nikusui,’ allowing guests to experience the essence of Osaka. Original cocktails are available during bar time, and “APA President Curry” (1,100 yen) is offered during happy hour after 9pm.
The hotel supports the exclusive app “APA Stay Here,” distributing limited coupons and offering options for additional purchases, rental reservations, and showing the occupancy status of the large communal bath.
On December 2nd, an “Opening Festival” will be held, allowing public viewing from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The first 500 participants will receive “APA President Curry” as a gift, and opening commemorative discount coupons will also be available. A free trial stay event will be held on November 26th, inviting up to 3,000 guests. November 30th will see a one-day pre-opening to prepare for the launch. A campaign offering daily free stays for three guests runs until January 31, 2025.
Access is approximately 1 minute on foot from JR Namba Station and about 2 minutes on foot from Osaka Metro Namba Station, located directly in front of the Osaka City Air Terminal (OCAT).
