Malaysia Airlines has taken delivery of an Airbus A330-900 aircraft in Toulouse, France.
This aircraft is the first of 20 planes that the airline’s parent company, Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), is leasing from Avolon. Of these, ten are on sale-and-leaseback, while the remaining planes are from Avolon’s order book. Deliveries are scheduled to continue through 2028.
The cabin is configured with 28 business class seats and 269 economy class seats, totaling 297 seats. It offers wider personal space, larger overhead bins, the latest in-flight entertainment, and high-speed Wi-Fi. The airline plans to deploy the aircraft on routes in the Asia Pacific region, as well as some destinations in the Middle East.
