Waldorf Astoria Osaka to Open on April 3, 2025
Risonare Atami to Reopen its Large Public Bath as ‘Atami Onsen Yurayura’ on March 6, 2025
Risonare Atami will reopen its large public bath as ‘Atami Onsen Yurayura’ on March 6, 2025.
Located on the east coast of the Izu Peninsula, Risonare Atami combines the elusive ‘Moon Road’ phenomenon, where the rising moon is reflected on the ocean surface, only visible under certain conditions, with the Atami hot springs.
The facility will feature an indoor bath painted in deep blue ‘Midnight Blue’, changing rooms with tiles in celadon green inspired by hot spring culture, and mirrors that reflect the phases of the moon. From the semi-open-air bath, which extends outward, guests can enjoy views and the Atami Sea Fireworks Festival. The entrance showcases the Moon Road seen from Risonare Atami through lighting and mosaic art. The name ‘Atami Onsen Yurayura’ is inspired by the image of moonlight shimmering on the ocean surface, reflecting the design theme of the Moon Road.
The bath is available from 3 PM to 1 AM the following day, and from 4:30 AM to 11 AM. It is free of charge for guests staying at the hotel.
