Waldorf Astoria Osaka to Open on April 3, 2025

Hilton has announced the opening of the Waldorf Astoria Osaka on April 3, 2025. Reservations began on December 6.

The Waldorf Astoria, Hilton’s premier luxury brand, will make its first entry into Japan. Located on the upper floors of the Grand Front Osaka South Tower Park Tower, close to Umeda Station, it offers panoramic views of Osaka from an elevation of about 170 meters.

Interior design is by Hong Kong-based designer Andre Fu, who brings together the Art Deco style of Waldorf Astoria New York with a vibrant design and visual beauty reflecting Osaka’s unique stories.

The hotel features 252 rooms, including a 193-square meter Presidential Suite, Waldorf and Astoria Penthouse suites measuring 139 square meters.

Facilities include an all-day dining restaurant, specialty restaurant, lounge & bar, signature bar, banquet halls, meeting rooms, chapel, library lounge, indoor pool, fitness center, and a spa.

Andrew Moore has been appointed as the general manager. Moore joined Hilton in 2008 and after various key positions at Hilton Beijing and Conrad Seoul, along with serving as general manager at Conrad Dublin, has taken up the mantle at Waldorf Astoria Osaka.

The Waldorf Astoria was originally opened in New York in 1893, introducing en-suite bathrooms, electric lights, and the first 24-hour room service. After being acquired by Hilton, it now operates 34 properties worldwide.
