JR East to Operate Overnight Trains on 7 Lines in the Tokyo Area from New Year’s Eve to New Year’s Day
Keisei Electric Railway to Operate All Night on New Year’s Eve and Naritasan Goun-kai Service at the New Year
Keisei Electric Railway has announced a special timetable for the New Year holiday period.
All-night operations will be conducted from the night of December 31 to the morning of January 1. The operating sections will be between Keisei Ueno and Keisei Narita Station, and between Oshiage and Keisei Kanamachi Station, Oshiage and Keisei Kanamachi Station. A total of 18 trains are planned to run on each line, only regular services. Moreover, the “Naritasan Goun-kai” (Special City Liner) will operate one round trip. The 221 down train departs from Keisei Ueno Station at 10:40 p.m. on December 31 and arrives at the terminal, Keisei Narita Station, at 11:34 p.m. The 222 up train departs from Keisei Narita Station at 3:00 a.m. on January 1 and arrives at the terminal, Keisei Ueno Station, at 3:54 a.m. It will stop at Nippori, Aoto, and Keisei Funabashi Stations along the way.
The “Naritasan Goun-kai” (Special City Liner) will operate one round trip on New Year’s Day. The 231 down train departs from Keisei Ueno Station at 9:07 a.m. and arrives at the terminal, Keisei Narita Station at 10:04 a.m. The 232 up train departs from Keisei Narita Station at 1:51 p.m. and arrives at the terminal, Keisei Ueno Station at 2:59 p.m. It will stop at Nippori, Aoto, and Keisei Funabashi Stations along the way. The operation dates are January 1-5, 11-13, 18-19, and 25-26. The additional express charge is 1,000 yen for adults and 500 yen for children, and for the section from Keisei Funabashi to Keisei Narita Station only, it is 550 yen for adults and 260 yen for children.
From December 28 to January 5, 2025, trains will operate on a holiday schedule. On the Kanamachi Line, special trains will be operated from January 1 to 3, resulting in a 10-minute interval during daytime hours.
