Hong Kong Express Airways and AXA Hong Kong & Macao have launched a flight delay parametric protection service.
Supported by AXA Partners, the coverage is available to those who purchase U-First up to 48 hours before departure. If a departure is delayed by more than 90 minutes, it offers an option between a 6-month valid VIP lounge pass usable at airports worldwide or 80 Hong Kong dollars in cash (only for departures from Hong Kong and to individuals with a Hong Kong bank account). The insurance premium is 50 Hong Kong dollars.
In addition to Hong Kong, Hong Kong Express Airways and the AXA Group also provide travel insurance products in Mainland China and South Korea. They also offer a lifetime half-price premium on personal injury insurance.
