Alaska Air Group has announced its three-year strategic plan, ‘Alaska Accelerate’.
The merger between Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines is projected to generate an additional $1 billion in revenue, raise the profit margin to 11-13%, and increase earnings per share to at least $10. The synergy from the merger is expected to be $500 million.
Furthermore, Hawaiian Airlines will launch Seattle to Tokyo/Narita and Seoul/Incheon routes. Service to Tokyo/Narita is planned to start on May 12, 2025, with one daily round-trip, and to Seoul/Incheon in October of the same year. By 2030, the plan is to expand to at least 12 cities with long-haul routes from Seattle, with details to be announced later.
