Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines Strengthen US Domestic Network with Schedule and Fleet Adjustments
Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines are set to enhance their network within the United States. Starting from the upcoming summer schedule, they will strategically adjust their destinations, operating schedules, and aircraft types.
On the Seattle-Honolulu route, of the six daily round-trips, three will be operated by Hawaiian Airlines’ wide-body aircraft. The three daily round-trips on the Portland-Honolulu line and the two daily round-trips on the San Diego-Kahului line will have their schedules revised to allow for more time between flights. During the peak summer demand, Hawaiian Airlines’ Airbus A330 aircraft will be deployed on the Seattle-San Francisco line to increase the number of available seats. Alaska Airlines will launch services on the San Francisco-Kona and Lihue lines. The Kona line will operate four round-trips a week from June 12, 2025, and the Lihue line will operate three round-trips a week from June 13, 2025.
Hawaiian Airlines will increase the daily flight hours for its Boeing 787-9 and Airbus A321neo aircraft, with a 25% increase for the Airbus A321neo. This will help mitigate the impact of Boeing 737 delivery delays and expand the scale of operations.
