JAL Card will raise the transaction fee for overseas shopping from January 20, 2025.
The cards affected are “JAL・Mastercard”, “JAL・Visa Card”, and “JAL Card TOKYU POINT ClubQ”. This change is due to the revision of transaction fees by Mitsubishi UFJ NICOS, the issuing company.
JAL Card uses the exchange rates applied by Mastercard or Visa for currency conversion, and adds Mitsubishi UFJ NICOS’s determined transaction fees to the applicable rate for costs such as clerical processing for overseas shopping transactions.
