Royal Park Hotel Offers ‘New Year Afternoon Tea’ Featuring Kagami Mochi and Kadomatsu Sweets from December 26
The Royal Park Hotel will offer a ‘New Year Afternoon Tea’ for a limited time from December 26 to January 19, 2025.
The sweets include a ‘chocolate craft candy’ adorned with Kagami Mochi and Hamaya, a traditional New Year’s lucky charm, a Kadomatsu roll cake expressed with pistachio green, a ‘Western-style Okoshi’ made with hazelnuts and maple sugar, ‘Kudzu pudding with ginger milk and kumquat compote’, ‘Japanese chestnut and yuzu terrine’, ‘Matcha tart chocolate’, ‘Hojicha shortcake’, ‘two kinds of scones’, and for savories, a soba salad topped with duck and leeks, ‘Monaka with smoked salmon and cream cheese’, and a ‘Kamaboko and basil gratin’ inspired by Chawanmushi.
As a welcome drink, gold dust-infused plum kelp tea will be prepared to add to the festive atmosphere.
On January 1 and 2, 2025, the hotel will host the ‘New Year Event 2025’, celebrating the New Year with mochi making, a fair, and a lion dance performance.
The venue is the lobby lounge ‘Fontaine’ on the first floor. The service is available on weekdays from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and on Saturdays, holidays, and from December 31 to January 3, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The price is 8,000 yen, including tax and service charge.
