Waldorf Astoria Osaka to Open on April 3, 2025
Kagawa Prefecture’s Kyukamura Sanuki Goshikidai Resort to Reopen on March 27, 2025
The Kyukamura Sanuki Goshikidai resort hotel will undergo renovations, including upgrades to its terraces, large communal bath, restaurant, and lobby, with a reopening slated for March 27, 2025.
The hotel will add 20 sea-facing Japanese-Western rooms, two of which are approximately 100 square meters in size and come equipped with a solo sauna, semi-open-air bath, terrace, mini kitchen, and laundry. The two premium Japanese-Western rooms will open on May 14, 2025. The rooms will be furnished with bedding from Nihonbashi-Nishikawa, fabrics from Hida Takayama’s Kashiwa Woodwork, and Tendo Mokko from Yamagata. The hotel will also feature a ‘Mizukagami Terrace’ inspired by Chichibugahama beach and a large communal bath overlooking the Seto Inland Sea, which includes a 15-meter-long bath with both outdoor and indoor sections. The ‘Seto Inland Dining’ restaurant will offer semi-private rooms, counter seats by the window, and a buffet featuring specialties from Kagawa and the Seto Inland area. A lobby lounge will be set up with sofas, stools, and a long counter along the window to serve welcome drinks.
To celebrate the renewal, a “Premium Japanese-Western Room Seto Inland Terrace with Three Big Special Offers” plan will be provided, limited to one room per day. This plan includes delivery of approximately 150 grams of Omi beef for barbecue at home, a free drink during dinner, and a gift of ‘Sanuki Udon & Oiri.’ The stay period is from May 14 to June 13, 2025, with a rate starting from 33,000 yen per person when used by two persons (including two meals and taxes).
