Hamamatsu Station Installs a Giant Monument of Unagi Pie, Standing 3 Meters Tall
Shunkado and JR Central Agency have installed signage using transparent organic EL displays inside JR Hamamatsu Station on December 13.
This large-scale signage utilizes the station’s pillars, featuring a six-faced multi-display with transparent organic EL displays on the front, and housing an unagi pie sculpture measuring 3 meters tall, 0.75 meters wide, and 8 centimeters deep on the back. The displays broadcast video content that highlights the sculpture.
The “Unagi Pie” is a product launched by Shunkado in 1961. The digital signage was developed with the aim of strengthening regional collaboration and creating a lively atmosphere at Hamamatsu Station.
