Keifuku Bus and Fukui Railway to Resume Operation of Osaka/Kyoto-Fukui Line from December 21 with Two Round Trips Daily
Keifuku Bus and Fukui Railway will resume operations of the high-speed “Kyoto-Osaka Line” from December 21.
This route was operated in collaboration with Hankyu Tourist Bus, running three round trips daily until March 2023. Starting December 21, it will return to two round trips daily. With the resumption, the service will start making stops at Echizen Takefu Station and will eliminate stops at Takefu Interchange (IC), Oyamazaki BS, Meishin Takatsuki BS, Senri New Town, and Shin-Osaka.
Keifuku Bus will operate a service departing from the east exit of Fukui Station at 7:10 am, arriving at Osaka (Hankyu Sanban Gai) at 10:30 am, and a service departing Osaka (Hankyu Sanban Gai) at 4:40 pm, arriving back at the east exit of Fukui Station at 8:00 pm. Fukui Railway will operate a service departing from the east exit of Fukui Station at 9:30 am, arriving at Osaka (Hankyu Sanban Gai) at 12:50 pm, and a service departing Osaka (Hankyu Sanban Gai) at 6:40 pm, arriving back at the east exit of Fukui Station at 10:00 pm. The buses will make stops along the way at Sabae IC, Echizen Takefu, Tsuruga IC, and Kyoto Fukakusa BS.
Additionally, fare revisions will be implemented. The fare increase will be 1,000 yen for adults and 500 yen for children across all sections. Fares for services to and from Osaka (Hankyu Sanban Gai) (adults one-way) will be 3,300 yen to Tsuruga IC, 4,400 yen to Echizen Takefu/Sabae IC, and 4,700 yen to the east exit of Fukui Station. Some ticket types such as booklets and student discounts will be discontinued.
