Atsumi Onsen Bankokuya: Introducing New Guest Rooms with Open-air Baths Themed After Yamagata’s Shonai Coast
Atsumi Onsen Bankokuya has introduced new guest rooms, all equipped with open-air baths, themed after the “Sea of Yamagata-Shonai”.
Including the guest rooms with open-air baths that have been renovated so far, this renewal has completed a total of 6 rooms. Themed after “The Sea as Seen from Mount Gassan and Mount Chokai”, “The Sea and Sea Breezes of Shonai”, “The Expansive Shonai Sand Dunes”, and “The Setting Sun over the Japan Sea and Shonai Beach”, each room has its own concept. Large Oishida pottery “Jinenjo kiln” made ceramic baths (open-air baths), consistent with each room’s concept, have been installed. These baths leverage the abundant flow from Atsumi Onsen, with 1,100 to 1,300 liters of water per minute, allowing guests to enjoy both Atsumi’s hot springs and the agricultural landscape of Yamagata-Shonai in their newly renewed rooms.
The rooms can accommodate up to six guests and services will be sequentially provided starting from December 26.
