Keifuku Bus and Fukui Railway to Resume Operations of Osaka/Kyoto to Fukui Line Starting December 21 with Two Round Trips Daily
Keifuku Bus and Fukui Railway will resume operations of the express bus line between Kyoto/Osaka and Fukui starting December 21.
This line was operated by Hankyu Tour Bus until March 2023 with three round trips daily. From December 21, two round trips will be resumed. With the resumption, the bus service will start stopping at Echizen Takefu Station and will discontinue stops at Takefu Interchange (IC), Oyamazaki BS, Meishin Takatsuki BS, Senri New Town, and Shin-Osaka.
Keifuku Bus will operate a service departing from the east exit of Fukui Station at 7:10 AM, arriving in Osaka (Hankyu Sanban Gai) at 10:30 AM, and another service departing from Osaka (Hankyu Sanban Gai) at 4:40 PM, arriving at Fukui Station east exit at 8:00 PM. Fukui Railway will operate a service departing from Fukui Station east exit at 9:30 AM, arriving in Osaka (Hankyu Sanban Gai) at 12:50 PM, and another service departing from Osaka (Hankyu Sanban Gai) at 6:40 PM, arriving at Fukui Station east exit at 10:00 PM. The buses will make stops at Sabae IC, Echizen Takefu, Tsuruga IC, and Kyoto Fukakusa BS en route.
Fare revisions will also be implemented. The fare for each segment will increase by 1,000 yen for adults and 500 yen for children. The fare for trips starting or ending in Osaka (Hankyu Sanban Gai) (adult one-way) will be 3,300 yen to Tsuruga IC, 4,400 yen to Echizen Takefu/Sabae IC, and 4,700 yen to Fukui Station east exit. Some ticket types such as discount tickets and student discounts will be discontinued.
