Livemax announced the rebranding and reopening of its “Livemax Resort Yuhigaura Kitsu Onsen” on November 29th.
The main building’s Annex, “Taishokan”, is an Art Nouveau architectural masterpiece adorned with stained glass. It is known as a residence related to Matsumoto Seicho and was the place where he stayed while writing his long mystery novel “D’s Compound”. The restaurant offers organic rice and vegetables, local fish from Tango, and other seasonal dishes. Dinner and breakfast can be enjoyed at the main building’s dining area, which faces the bamboo garden courtyard.
The resort is approximately a 5-minute walk from Yuhigaura Kitsu Onsen Station.
