JR Kyushu to Launch Second Edition of Random Destination Ticket from Hakata: The Kyushu App Lottery Ticket, Offering 3 Days Unlimited Travel Across Kyushu for 5,000 Yen
JR Kyushu will start selling the “Kyushu App Lottery Ticket, Second Edition” from Hakata, where the destination is decided randomly, from January 1st, 2025, 9 AM through March 18th.
Available for purchase via the JR Kyushu App. After buying, a lottery will be conducted, and the prize could be one of the following tickets: unlimited travel on all JR Kyushu lines for three days, from Fukuoka city to Kagoshima-Chuo Station, Fukuoka city to Miyazaki Station, Hakata to Kumamoto-Suizenji Station, Hakata to Nagasaki-Urakami Station, or Hakata to Oita-Saiki Station. Winners will receive a ticket that includes Super Express trains such as Shinkansen. The applicable travel period is from January 7th until March 19th, excluding February 22nd to 24th.
The price is 5,000 yen for weekdays only and 6,000 yen for all days, limited to the first 13,000 tickets sold. The lottery must be completed within 3 days of purchase, and ticket reservation is required by 11 PM, March 18th. The weekday-only version comes with special benefits depending on the destination.
