
Korean Authorities Amend Regulations on Carry-On Batteries and E-Cigarettes
At around noon local time on December 25, Azerbaijan Airlines flight J28243 from Baku to Grozny, an Embraer E190 aircraft with registration number 4K-AZ65, crashed near Aktau in western Kazakhstan.
The flight, which departed Baku at 7:49 am, was scheduled to arrive in Aktau at 0:26 pm after changing its destination due to fog. The crash site was located about 3 kilometers from the city of Aktau.
According to the passenger and crew list released by the airline, there were 62 passengers and 5 crew members onboard, totaling 67 persons. The passengers were nationals of Azerbaijan, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan. According to NHK reports, at least 4 people have died, and 29 have been transported to the hospital.
