London Heathrow Airport to Invest £2.3 Billion in Enhancements Over Two Years
London Heathrow Airport will invest £2.3 billion over the next two years, marking the largest private investment in the UK’s transportation network to date.
£1.05 billion will be invested in 2025, and £1.29 billion in 2026. The initial investment has been increased by £244 million to enhance terminal functionalities, including projects that support baggage delivery and timely operation.
Projects will also be promoted to provide options for users who require assistance to move independently, and to advocate for travel to and between terminals by bicycle or on foot.
Through these initiatives, Heathrow Airport expects to drive economic growth across the UK. In 2024, £191 million will be invested in revamping security lanes to respond to increasing demand.
