Hotel Metropolitan Hosts a Dessert Cocktail Fair Inspired by the Countries Stopped by the Luxurious Train ‘Orient Express’
Hotel Metropolitan will be hosting a ‘Dessert Cocktail Fair’ from January 1 to February 28, 2025.
The fair is inspired by the luxurious train ‘Orient Express’, matching the ambiance of the themed interior of the establishment. Imagining the journey on the train, signature cocktails inspired by desserts from four countries where the train actually stops will be offered.
‘Afternoon Crumble’ is a cocktail inspired by the homely British sweet ‘Apple Crumble’. It is made with Scotch whisky, apple juice, maple syrup, egg white, and cinnamon. ‘Ispahan Macaron’ is inspired by the ‘Ispahan’, a macaroon born in Paris featuring lychee, berries, and cream flavored with rose. It’s represented with raspberry liqueur, lychee liqueur, rose syrup, and milk. ‘Chocolat Tiramisu’ captures the essence of Italy’s famous dessert ‘Tiramisu’ through a blend of cocoa liqueur, espresso, mascarpone cheese, and cocoa powder. ‘Pistachio Torte’ is a cocktail inspired by the Turkish specialty cake ‘Pistachio Torte’, combining pistachio powder and anisette liqueur with a mix of cocoa liqueur and cream in a frozen style.
The venue is the Orient Express bar on the second floor. Available from 5 pm to 11 pm. The price is 1,800 yen each, including tax and service charges.
