Hyatt Hotels Corporation announced its plan to open the ‘Hotel NEI Nara’ under ‘The Unbound Collection by Hyatt’ brand, marking the third such property in Japan and the first in Western Japan, in the heart of Nara City.
The hotel is a joint venture with JR Central, JR Central Real Estate, and JR Central Hotels, where a franchise agreement was made between JR Central Hotels and an affiliate of Hyatt.
‘The Unbound Collection by Hyatt’ is one of Hyatt’s luxury brands. The name ‘Hotel NEI Nara’ includes the words ‘Nara’, as used in the Manyoshu, and ‘NEI’, which signifies ‘calmness’ and ‘tranquility’, reflecting a dedication to tradition and a return to origins.
It is planned to be located in the heart of Nara City, facing the Noborioji street and close to Kofuku-ji Temple.
