Sun Frontier Hotel Management announced the opening of ‘Travel Hotel lit Sakata’ in Sakata City, Yamagata Prefecture, in December 2026.
The hotel is being constructed on a commercial site located in the downtown area, with the aim of creating a lively atmosphere in the city.
The building will be 11 stories high, providing a total of 173 rooms. These will mainly include double and deluxe twin rooms, as well as rooms equipped with kitchens, washing machines, and microwaves. The hotel will feature a restaurant offering buffet-style breakfast, meeting rooms, a lobby lounge, and parking facilities. Moreover, the top floor will boast a natural hot spring outdoor bath and sauna with a view of Mount Chokai, alongside an observation lounge with massage chairs. Evening services such as ‘Happy Bubbles’ beer and soft drink service, ‘Dashi Chazuke’ made with special broth, and morning coffee are also planned.
