Jetstar Launches Brisbane to Bangkok/Suvarnabhumi Route

Jetstar has inaugurated its Brisbane to Bangkok/Suvarnabhumi route on December 13th.

Flights from Brisbane are scheduled on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, while flights from Bangkok/Suvarnabhumi are on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, making it a thrice-weekly round trip. The service employs Boeing 787-8 aircraft. The flight duration is approximately 8 hours and 10 minutes from Brisbane, and 9 hours from Bangkok/Suvarnabhumi.

This route is the only direct flight connecting the two cities, re-establishing the link after approximately five years. It is expected to be used by travelers from Asia, as well as the UK and Europe.

With this new route, Jetstar’s Brisbane-based routes have expanded to 20. Since the pandemic, 13 routes have been launched from Queensland, making this the 14th. The launch has been supported by the Queensland Government’s Attracting Aviation Investment Fund (AAIF) and Brisbane Airport.
