Delta Airlines Announces Record Operating Revenue for Fiscal Year 2024
Delta Airlines announced that it has recorded its highest ever operating revenue for the fiscal year 2024.
The operating revenue reached 61.6 billion US dollars, operating income was 6 billion US dollars, pre-tax profit was 4.7 billion US dollars, and earnings per share was 5.33 US dollars. A profit distribution of 1.4 billion US dollars will be implemented for employees.
In November and December, record revenues were set on four days, with strong continuance in both leisure and business sectors. Revenues from premium class and royalties from American Express played a significant role in the traction. The international route exceeded expectations in all three regions, with notable improvements particularly on the Atlantic routes. Corporate demand also increased by double digits.
By 2025, the aim is for a pre-tax profit of more than 6 billion US dollars, earnings per share of more than 7.35 US dollars, and a free cash flow of more than 4 billion US dollars. Excluding the impact of issues due to CrowdStrike, earnings per share is expected to grow by more than 10% compared to the previous term.
