Kumamoto Airport to Raise Passenger Facility Charges from March 30
Kumamoto Airport is set to increase its passenger facility charges.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism has approved Kumamoto International Airport’s application for an upper limit approval on passenger facility charges.
The charges will be collected at 320 yen for domestic flights and 1,900 yen for international flights per adult, with half price for children. Starting March 30, the charges will be collected at the time of ticket issuance and boarding through the on-ticket system.
Kumamoto International Airport has made significant facility investments, including the extension of the concourse due to the expansion of international flights, installation of stepless-type boarding bridges, and the development of apron roofs for open spots. These enhancements are part of efforts to improve accessibility, in addition to improving facilities such as toilets and nursing rooms.
