Hakone Sengokuhara Prince Hotel Hosts a Stayover Mystery Game Event Where Guests Solve a Case from Their Rooms
Hakone Sengokuhara Prince Hotel is going to host an immersive stayover game event called “Request for Investigation Regarding the ESD Incident” from January 14th to March 31st, organized by Nazogumi.
The game is set in the real world, featuring a blend of fiction and reality based on an unresolved case that actually occurred. Participants start their journey with a request from the hotel’s general manager to solve the mystery of an envelope found in a locked hotel room. From packing bags at home to arriving at the hotel, participants engage in experiences that lead them to the key to solving the mystery of the case, requiring them to prepare ‘one unnecessary receipt’ and ‘photos of what they ate from the morning of the investigation day until they arrived at the hotel’ taken with a smartphone. Upon check-in, participants receive a research material kit containing detailed information about the case. The hotel room serves as the headquarters for the investigation, where participants, like detectives, analyze the materials, explore the hotel to gather information, and compile it onto a research board set up in their room to uncover the truth behind the incident.
The stay plan offers both a two-meal plan and a breakfast-only plan.
