HIS to Host the ‘Grand Overseas Travel Thanksgiving Festival’, Offering a Chance to Win Flight Tickets and Hotel Vouchers
H.I.S. (HIS) will hold the 5th ‘HIS Grand Overseas Travel Thanksgiving Festival’ on March 8th and 9th.
Since 2023, the event has been held in collaboration with tourism boards and airline companies to rediscover the charm of travel. The event includes 14 themed lectures and a charity event where sky lanterns are launched.
On the 8th, there will be stage events by Australia, Italy, Turkey, New Zealand, MSC Cruises, America, American Disney Resorts, Taiwan & HIS Charity Event ‘Sky Lantern.’ On the 9th, stage events will be held by Switzerland, World Cruises, Singapore, Hawaii, Guam, and Hong Kong Disneyland Resort.
Ex-rugby Japan team captain Hirose Shunji and former SKE48 member Takayanagi Akane will make appearances, and there will be a ‘Stage Lottery’ at each stage event, where participants can win flight tickets and hotel accommodation vouchers. Pre-booking of the lecture session is required to participate in the lottery.
Experience launching sky lanterns, filled with helium gas instead of fire, at 2,000 yen (2,500 yen on the day) per lantern. Up to three adults can participate per lantern. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Noto Peninsula Earthquake Disaster relief funds.
Additionally, food trucks serving Taiwanese food, Hawaiian garlic shrimp, malasadas, and other international cuisines will be available. A Hawaiian market will also offer shopping and hula shows.
The event will be held at the Shinjuku Sumitomo Building Triangle Square, starting from 10 am, with doors opening at 9:45 am. Participation is free.
