Turkish Airlines has resumed its Istanbul to Benghazi route from January 14.
The airline operates 3 weekly round trips on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays using a Boeing 737-700 aircraft. The flight duration is 2 hours and 35 minutes from Istanbul, and 2 hours and 20 minutes from Benghazi.
Benghazi is the second-largest city in Libya, expanding the number of African destinations to 64 cities. With this, Turkish Airlines now serves 352 airports across 131 countries.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Bilal Ekşi, commented, “We are delighted to resume flights under the mission of deepening the historic connection between Turkish Airlines and Benghazi, the second-largest city in Libya, and connecting continents.
