Japan Tourism Agency Imposes Administrative Sanctions on Taihei Kanko and Orion Tour

The Japan Tourism Agency has imposed administrative sanctions on Taihei Kanko and Orion Tour under Article 65, Paragraph 1 of the Travel Agency Act.

Taihei Kanko arranged bus services below the minimum fare reported by the chartered bus operator during a tour using a chartered bus on March 8, 2023, violating Article 9-2, Paragraph 1 of the Road Transportation Act, by facilitating a service in violation. The headquarters office was given a business suspension from January 22 to 30.

Orion Tour, during a tour using a chartered bus conducted on September 9, 2022, was involved in a transaction where the commission paid by the bus operator did not cover safety costs, violating Article 10 of the Road Transportation Act, and received administrative sanctions. A business improvement order was issued under Article 18 of the Travel Agency Act.
