SkyTeam Modifies Lounge Access Policy to 3-Hour Limit

SkyTeam will change its lounge access policy starting April 1 as part of efforts to enhance the airport experience.

Elite Plus members on domestic flights will receive lounge access as an added benefit. Initially, Air France, China Eastern Airlines, Garuda Indonesia, Kenya Airways, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Scandinavian Airlines, Saudia, and Vietnam Airlines will be accommodating this. More airlines will be added in the future. Mileage members of Aerolineas Argentinas and Delta Airlines may have separate domestic lounge access policies applied.

Additionally, one accompanying guest of an Elite Plus member is allowed lounge access, but they must be on the same flight as the member. Currently, companions on different flights can also be accommodated.

Furthermore, there will be a 3-hour limit on lounge access for Elite Plus members and First/Business class passengers. Elite Plus members transiting between two SkyTeam-operated flights will be allowed same-day or 24-hour access at the transit location.
