Korean Air to Hire Cabin Crew at Narita Base for First Time in Four Years
Skymark Increases Flights on 6 Routes and Reduces on 3 Routes for Summer Schedule
Skymark will increase flights on 6 routes and reduce them on 2 routes in their summer schedule starting March 30.
They will add one round-trip per day on the Tokyo/Haneda to Sapporo/Chitose line, Kobe to Kagoshima line, and Fukuoka to Okinawa/Naha line. One daily round-trip will also be added on the Kobe to Okinawa/Naha line, Ibaraki to Fukuoka line, and Fukuoka to Shimojishima line. Meanwhile, they will reduce one round-trip per day on the Tokyo/Haneda & Ibaraki to Fukuoka line and Nagoya/Chubu to Okinawa/Naha line.
Utilizing the increased landing and takeoff slots from the new operation of the second runway at Fukuoka Airport, the operation period of the Fukuoka to Shimojishima line will expand to operate from June 20 to September 30. Furthermore, due to the relaxation of landing restrictions at Ibaraki Airport, the Ibaraki to Fukuoka line will have one additional round-trip per day during the summer schedule period. This will be the first time since August 2015 that the route operates two round-trips per day. With the expanded slots at Kobe Airport, there will also be an additional round-trip on the Kobe to Kagoshima line, making it a three round-trips per day operation.
As a result, during the summer schedule period, Skymark will operate a maximum of 79 round-trips, totaling 158 flights per day. Ticket sales will commence at 7 a.m. on January 30.
