JAL Introduces Airbus A350-1000 on Tokyo/Haneda-Singapore Route for Limited Time
JAL’s 9th Airbus A350-1000 Departure to Haneda
Japan Airlines (JAL)’s ninth Airbus A350-1000 (aircraft registration: JA09WJ) departed from Toulouse, France on the afternoon of January 29. It is expected to arrive at Haneda Airport around noon tomorrow, the 30th.
Due to changes in the assembly schedule at Airbus, the 9th aircraft was received earlier than the 7th. The delivery date was January 27 local time.
The Airbus A350-1000 serves as the successor to the Boeing 777-300ER for international routes. The cabin features 239 seats in a four-class configuration, with 6 first-class seats in a “1-1-1” arrangement, 54 business class seats in a “1-2-1” arrangement, 24 premium economy seats in a “2-4-2” arrangement, and 155 economy class seats in a “3-3-3” arrangement. First and business classes are JAL’s first enclosed suite types with doors. In-flight entertainment (IFE) across all classes includes 4K resolution monitors, which can connect wirelessly to Bluetooth headphones.
A total of 13 aircraft have been ordered, with the first delivered on December 15, 2023, the second on January 15, 2024, the third on March 31, the fourth on August 1, the fifth on August 11, the sixth on October 3, and the eighth on December 8, all arriving at Haneda Airport.
Currently, flights operate twice daily on the Tokyo/Haneda to New York/John F. Kennedy route, and once daily on the Tokyo/Haneda to Dallas/Fort Worth and London/Heathrow routes. From February 12 to March 29, the aircraft will be operated on the Tokyo/Haneda to Singapore route on alternate days, and from May 1 on the Tokyo/Haneda to Paris/Charles de Gaulle route.
