Skymark announced its financial results for the third quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2025 (April to December 2024). The net profit was 2.663 billion yen.
Business revenue was 81.736 billion yen, operating profit was 1.695 billion yen, and ordinary profit was 2.038 billion yen.
The number of paid passengers was approximately 6.19 million, marking a record high in business revenue for seven consecutive quarters. However, due to increased price sensitivity among customers triggered by other companies’ promotions, the company struggled to raise unit prices, and customer unit price expectations were not met. On the other hand, due to surging fuel prices and inflation, operating expenses increased. A foreign exchange gain of 195 million yen was recorded as non-operating income.
The full-year performance forecast has been revised downwards, anticipating business revenue of 107.5 billion yen, operating profit of 600 million yen, ordinary profit of 1.5 billion yen, and net profit of 1.5 billion yen, indicating decreased revenue and profit. The assumptions are 155 yen per US dollar and 75 US dollars per barrel of Dubai crude oil.
