TAAG Angola Airlines has received its first Boeing 787-9 aircraft.
It is the first of four aircraft ordered in 2023, and will be introduced on lease after a sale and leaseback agreement was concluded with AerCap Holdings in December 2024. New routes to Asia, North America, and Europe will be opened. The aircraft has been painted with a new livery.
TAAG Angola Airlines currently operates a total of 15 Boeing aircraft, including 5 Boeing 777-300ERs, 3 Boeing 777-200ERs, and 7 Boeing 737s. The company is making progress on replacing its aging wide-body aircraft.
