Japan Airlines (JAL) will offer first class on the Tokyo/Narita-Chicago route to be launched on May 31.
This is due to the deployment of the Boeing 777-300ER, with ticket sales having started on February 12 at 3:00 p.m.
The Boeing 777-300ER features 244 seats, with 8 First Class “JAL SUITE” seats in a “1-2-1” configuration, 49 Business Class “JAL SKY SUITE” seats in a “2-3-2” configuration, 40 Premium Economy Class “JAL SKY PREMIUM” seats in a “2-3-2” configuration, and 147 Economy Class “JAL SKY WIDER” seats in a “3-3-3” configuration.
Currently, there are no routes operated by JAL using the Boeing 777-300ER departing from or arriving at Tokyo/Narita, making this the only route featuring first class.
