JAL Starts Operation of A350-1000 on Haneda-Los Angeles Route, Replacing 777-300ER
The Hawaiian Airlines Foundation has donated $150,000 to three nonprofit organizations on the island of Maui.
The recipients are Pūnana Leo o Lahaina, Lahaina Public Library, and TreeCover Hawaiʻi. These organizations are leading the recovery efforts following the wildfires that occurred in August 2023, each receiving $50,000.
Pūnana Leo o Lahaina is committed to the revitalization of the Hawaiian language and lost its building due to the wildfires. Lahaina Public Library, which opened in 1956 and housed 21,000 books, was destroyed in the fires. TreeCover Hawaiʻi engages in planting and nurturing trees.
