
JAL and AA Consider Adding Alaska Airlines Group to Joint Venture
At around 3:30 PM local time on February 17, Delta Air Lines flight DL4819 (CRJ900, Tail Number: N932XJ) from Minneapolis to Toronto failed to land successfully.
The flight departed from Minneapolis at 11:34 AM, which was 1 hour and 4 minutes behind schedule, and was scheduled to arrive in Toronto at 2:30 PM. According to footage and images after landing, black smoke was seen, and the aircraft had overturned, losing most of its right main wing.
Endeavor Air, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Delta Air Lines, operated the flight as a Delta Connection. Of the 80 people onboard, including 4 crew members and 76 passengers, several were injured and transported to a nearby hospital. There were no fatalities.
Due to this incident, Toronto Pearson International Airport has been closed.
