EVA Air has unveiled its new Premium Economy Class.
It will be introduced on the Boeing 787-9 aircraft (registration: B-17887), marking the fourth generation. With a “2-3-2” configuration and 28 seats, the seat cushions slide forward and upward simultaneously without reclining the backrest, and the monitor size is 15.6 inches. The tray table includes a stand for personal devices, AC and USB power ports, a reading light, side privacy panel-equipped headrest, armrests, and footrests.
Initially, it will be deployed on the Taipei/Taoyuan-Jakarta route, with future plans to introduce it on the Taipei/Taoyuan-Munich, Milan, Vienna, and San Francisco routes.
EVA Air was the world’s first airline to introduce Premium Economy Class. It was introduced in 1992 with an initial seat pitch of 38 inches and equipped with personal monitors. Currently, it offers amenities in collaboration with the UK brand “Hunter” and in-flight meals served on Guzzini tableware.
