JR East Releases ‘Kyun Pass’: Unlimited Rides for ¥10,000 on Weekdays Including Shinkansen, Plus New Two-Day Option
JR East will end the sales of the “Weekend Pass” on June 27.
The Weekend Pass is a rail pass that was launched on April 1, 2013, as the successor to the “Sat-Sun Ticket” and “Weekend Pass.” It allows unlimited travel for two consecutive weekend days on local and rapid trains within the free area of JR lines and 14 other railway companies such as Hokuhoku Express and Izukyu Corporation, for 8,880 yen for adults and 2,600 yen for children. Shinkansen and express trains can be used by purchasing additional express tickets.
In addition, sales of the “Metropolitan Area Weekend Free Ticket” and the “Tokyo Free Ticket” will also end on June 27 (some on March 28).
