Japan Airlines (JAL) has started providing support following the heavy snowfall at the end of the year in Aomori Prefecture.
JAL Mileage Bank members can donate miles, with each unit set at 500 miles. The total value, considering 1 mile equivalent to 1 yen, will be donated to the Aomori Prefecture Community Chest. The donation acceptance period runs from January 27 at 3:00 PM through February 28.
Donations made using miles are not eligible for tax deductions for either JAL Mileage Bank members or JAL.
