Air Premia to Launch Four Routes Including Honolulu and Seattle, Aiming for a Fleet of 9 Aircrafts by 2025
The Malaysian Aviation Commission (MAVCOM) has revoked Batik Air Malaysia’s traffic rights for the Nagoya/Chubu & Okinawa/Naha – Taipei/Taoyuan – Kota Kinabalu route.
According to the announcement, the airline initially planned to operate four round trips per week from April 2024. However, all were canceled as of January 18.
MAVCOM determines the allocation of traffic rights by considering demand, passenger benefits, service quality, and impacts on Malaysia’s airports and the aviation industry. The commission holds the authority to temporarily suspend or revoke decisions if the airline granted the rights fails to comply with conditions. Allocated airlines must commence all designated flights within six months from the start of the effective period, or the unused rights will be canceled.
