Finnair Reports Net Profit of 37 Million Euros for Fiscal Year Ending December 2024

Finnair has announced its financial results for the fiscal year ending December 2024. The net profit was 37 million euros.

The revenue was 3 billion 488 million euros, and the comparable operating profit was 114.2 million euros. A strike in the fourth quarter affected the operating profit by approximately 5 million euros.

Passenger numbers increased by 6.1% year-on-year to 11.7 million, while the load factor decreased by 0.6% to 75.8%. A dividend of 0.11 euros per share is proposed.

Due to a pilot strike, approximately 500 flights were canceled from November to December, affecting more than 60,000 people. While global average fare prices are declining, the introduction of new fares increased ancillary revenue by 23%, maintaining passenger revenue at 2023 levels.

For the fiscal year ending December 2025, despite uncertainties such as political instability and labor market conditions, supply is expected to increase by about 105. Revenue is expected to be between 3.3 billion to 3.4 billion euros, with a comparable operating profit forecast of 100 to 200 million euros.
