
British Airways Introduces A350 with New Club Suite on London/Heathrow to Hong Kong Route
North Atlantic Airways and InterGlobe Aviation (IndiGo) have added to their wet lease agreement for Boeing 787-9 aircraft.
Initially contracted for one aircraft, three more have been added. Operations on long-haul routes from India will commence later this year. The contract duration is six months, extendable up to 18 months subject to regulatory approval.
North Atlantic Airways announced in November 2024 that they had signed a letter of intent to finalize the wet lease agreement. The estimated contract value is 462 million USD, with plans to deploy two aircraft in February and four in September, totaling six aircraft. Additionally, payments may increase if each aircraft exceeds 350 block hours.
IndiGo, a leading airline in India known for its market share, utilized aircraft leased from Turkish Airlines on a wet lease basis to launch the Delhi-Istanbul route in February 2023.
