All Nippon Airways (ANA) will change the handling of ANA domestic award tickets from flights departing on or after May 19, 2026.
A domestic upgrade option will be introduced, allowing upgrades from economy class to premium class using miles.
The domestic award tickets and domestic upgrade options will prioritize reservations for top-tier ANA Mileage Club members and Super Flyers Card members using their own miles, as well as fellow travelers under the same booking number using the member’s miles.
The waitlisting for domestic award tickets will be limited to one segment at a time for Diamond members. The waitlist will be available up to two weeks prior to the departure date.
The validity period of tickets will be changed, requiring travel to commence within a year from issuance, with at least one segment used within a year from the departure date. Additionally, connecting itineraries will be newly established, and the special mileage chart for Okinawa remote islands routes will be discontinued.
The applicable age ranges for infants and children will be changed: infants from 0-2 years to 0-1 year, and children from 3-11 years to 2-11 years.
When exchanging awards using ANA Card Family Miles by combining family miles, changes and refunds will be possible via the website.
Additionally, from the same boarding date, a ticketing fee will be charged for new issuances at overseas reservation and information centers. No ticketing fee will be charged for procedures via the website or reservation and information centers within Japan.
The reservation screen labels will be changed from the traditional “Premium Class” and “Standard Seat” to “First Class (Premium Class)” and “Economy Class.”
Additionally, upgrades from economy class to premium class using miles will also be possible for Japanese domestic segments on international tickets.
