HIS and Japan Airlines (JAL), with the cooperation of Fukuoka International Airport, will conduct the “Fukuoka Airport Runway Expansion Commemorative JAL Sightseeing Charter” on March 20.
Fukuoka Airport will start the operation of the second runway from March 20. The sightseeing charter will use a J-Air Embraer E170 aircraft to fly over Kumamoto Prefecture’s Aso and the skies over the remote islands of Nagasaki Prefecture for about 90 minutes.
In addition, there will be activities such as an aviation class by J-Air flight crew, a guided tour of the backstage area by JAL airport staff, and observation of takeoffs and landings from the observation deck.
The fee is 69,800 yen for adults and 59,800 yen for children (ages 3 to 12). Children under two years old are free. Reservations are being accepted on the HIS website starting from 3:00 PM on February 25.
