H.I.S. (HIS) has introduced three programs for employees to enhance work-life balance and promote diverse working styles.
The company will launch a reserved paid leave system, allowing employees to accumulate unused statutory paid leave that expires after two years, enabling them to use it collectively at a later date. The use is restricted for personal health purposes. This will be available from May 1 for full-time, contract, part-time, and temporary employees, obtainable in one-day increments with a validity of three years and an annual accumulation limit of ten days.
Additionally, an hourly annual paid leave system will be introduced, allowing leave to be taken in one-hour increments instead of the previous whole or half-day options. This will be available from April 1 for full-time and contract employees working in shifts.
Furthermore, HIS will reintroduce the long-service special leave program, which was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Full-time and contract employees will receive five days after 10 years of service and 10 days after 20 years, 30 years, and at retirement (for full-time employees only). The validity is two years. Those who reached these years of service during the suspension period will receive it this year. This will also be in effect from April 1.
