
Hamad International Airport in Doha Opens Concourse D
Hamad International Airport in Doha has opened Concourse D.
It was constructed as part of the terminal expansion project, with Concourse E already open. Concourse D was completed ahead of schedule. The concourse covers an area of 51,000 square meters and features 9 newly added gates.
As a result, the terminal’s overall area has increased by 14% to 845,000 square meters, and the number of boarding gates has increased by 17 to a total of 62. The annual handling capacity will exceed 65 million passengers. The use of buses for boarding will decrease, and improvements in connectivity and operational capacity are also expected.
