Tokyo Midtown Hosts ‘MIDTOWN BLOSSOM 2025’ Until April 13
Ryohin Keikaku has opened a community-based accommodation facility, ‘MUJI room SAKAMOTOYA,’ on March 22.
‘MUJI room’ is a type of room within existing accommodations such as hotels, inns, or rental villas, where guests can experience a lifestyle rooted in the local community with MUJI products. This marks the first opening of a community-based ‘MUJI room.’
MUJI room SAKAMOTOYA is a renovation of 3 out of 6 rooms at the inn ‘Sakamotoya,’ established in 1928, into spaces embodying the world of MUJI. The guest rooms include a twin room with a full view of the Yoshino mountains, a Japanese-style twin room with a low table, floor cushions, and a large closet, and a double room located on the second floor suitable for solo travelers.
The interior incorporates regional resources such as Yoshino cedar in a sustainable manner, and amenities made from the natural bounty of the Yoshino area. Optional breakfast and dinner, prepared by the inn’s host using local ingredients, are also available. Unique regional experience options include ‘Explore Yoshino Mountains with a Guide,’ ‘Tour to Experience the Wood Culture’ guided by a wood expert, and ‘Japanese Paper Making Experience’ with active craftsmen.
The price starts from 14,200 yen per night per room.
