Japan Airlines (JAL) will raise the fee for the ‘JAL Travel Light Service’ starting April 1.
This service allows passengers to send their luggage from the departure airport counter directly to their home or a specified location without needing to pick it up at the arrival airport. Each item can weigh up to 20 kilograms and the size must be within 50cm x 60cm x 120cm for three dimensions. Golf caddy bags, skis, and snowboards can be handled regardless of size.
The fee will increase from the current 1,050 yen to 1,500 yen as of the same day. All prices include tax and covering fees, with payment limited to cash. This service, which uses Sagawa Express parcel delivery, is available throughout Japan, excluding some regions primarily islands.
